Cystic Fibrosis - contagious to each other.

Two cystic fibrosis patients should not come within three feet of each other if they can help it. Apparently, cystic fibrosis is not contagious, but two people with cystic fibrosis can pass on fatal infections to each other at the drop of a hat where a healthy person would not cause harm to a cystic fibrosis patient.

It's been a while

Life and vacation got in the way. Anyways - here's a twofer:

Trials in Sweden take place in a relaxed atmosphere with lawyers, witnesses and defendants sitting around a table, rather than in the more formal, intimidating setting of jury-boxes and witness stands.

Prostitution is legal in Sweden. But it's still looked at as a demeaning occupation.

Post 5 - Sudden Death

A perfectly healthy cat in the prime of her life can drop dead during the night. Possible causes are heart failure and aneurysm. And the house is much quieter without a cat that slept most of the day.

Post 4- Carcinogenics

Whn barbecuing and the flames touch the meat - that's when carcinogenics with hard to remember names are created. You should barbecue such that the heat and the smoke cook the meat and not the fire itself. (Which is not what I thought... but I hardly barbecue anyways)

Post 3 - Congenital analgesia

There is a genetic disorder in which a person does not have the ability to feel any physical pain called congenital analgesia. While this may sound like a blessing, it's not really a good thing. Pain is your body's way of telling you that you are hurt and you need to stop whatever is causing the hurt or you could get seriously injured. Not being able to feel any pain means that you are more likely to get seriously injured. People with congenital analgesia rarely live past their 30s.

There is such a thing  called "hunting ammunition" - the ammunition actually expands when it hits the target, causing massive internal bleeding and leading to sure death. Hunting ammo is usually used when hunting large animals like moose.
